Hotel Mukesh Residency(Pune) - Review

During our tour to Goa, we booked a hotel in pune to get freshen up because we had 5-6 hours of lay over for our next train to Goa. so keeping that in mind we booked the hotel in advance.

The main point for our booking was to book the hotel for only couple of hours instead of whole day which could save our money as well.

The very first thing we heard when booking a auto from Pune station to Hotel Mukesh is "that hotel is not good for family and you can get good hotel near by itself". I did not listened to them :) because i knew already that all over the India on cab/auto drivers get the commissions from the hotel for referring the tourists to hotels.

So, we hire a auto and i already googled the distance of hotel from station and knew it was only 5-7 mins distance but still pune Autowalas charged 100 bucks. which i had paid because i was not alone and we were not getting auto/cabs by uber/ola that day.

Finally we reached the Hotel.
  • Entrance : A tall building with narrow entrance towards the hotel and then we introduce our self to the receptionist that we have booking with the hotel through this hotel booking app. The person on other side of table was finding it difficult to track our booking with his system, do not know whether he did not knew how to check it or system was having any issues.
  • Rooms : we got the rooms on 4th floor and with our bad luck lift for the hotel was under maintenance on the same day. and we had to climb stairs all the way to 4th floor. Receptionist told us that the 4th floor room is very good and we will have any issues with it. which we agreed then. When we reach to the room, there were not that bad. but overall the ambiance was not that good which we normally expected, but i ignore it as at 700 bucks what would you get!. I checked the bathroom of room, it was cleaned but water pressure was not proper in bathroom. no soap was provided to rooms. 
  • Service : we got to know hotel does not have any kitchen so everything we order even a Tea would be get parceled from some other hotels and will be paid item for us and not a complementary item from hotel. As the Lift was under maintenance, staff should given us rooms on near by floors and not on 4th floors. staff was not able to track down our online booking and asking numerous questions for the same. there was not wifi services provided also to us.
